Cool Down with Frozen Yogurt Bites!

To say we’ve been having an AMAZING summer here in Seattle would be an understatement!  It has been in the 90’s here lately and though some might be complaining of the heat and wishing they had AC year round, I’ve been LOVING it!  I know these days are not the norm here so I am trying to enjoy every minute of this heat wave!  But when you have little ones around, though the heat can be fun, it’s often hard to find ways to cool them down (without giving them an Otter Pop every 5 seconds…which I’m not above BTW!).  I’ve been looking for ways to keep them cool with healthy treats during these hot summer days and these Frozen Yogurt Bites are the perfect solution!  Simple, easy and can make a bunch ahead of time to have on hand!


Frozen Yogurt Bites

Frozen Yogurt Bites

Prep Time: 10 min.

Ingredients

  • Greek yogurt
  • Honey
  • Fruit (berries and grapes, but you can essentially use any fruit cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • Ziplock baggie
  • Ice cube tray

Instructions

In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt with honey until you get the desired sweetness

Spoon yogurt into a Ziplock baggie and snip the tip of one corner

Squeeze yogurt into ice cube tray about 1/3 way full

Drop a berry (or piece of fruit) in the center and fill the remaining way of ice cube tray with yogurt, covering the berry

Freeze for 4 hours or overnight

Pop out of ice cube tray and enjoy immediately or store them in a Ziplock baggie to save for later!
